car chargers

HI, I have an older white bose doscking speaker for my ipod, i want to get a car charger for it, but all the ones i see are different types of plugs, do they make a car charger specifically for theolder white model? My model number is:

Thank you for joining us! There is no car charger specifically designed for the SoundDock I system. The power requirement for the system is +/-18 V DC, 2 A in case you may want to try a power inverter for your car.

OKay, thanks, I boight a stanley fast max power it 140 w, 2 amp car charger- converter, is that ok, or is it too much power? i dont want to destroy my unit.

it didnt work.. not sure why. i'll try it with something else to see if its the bose or the inverter.

i think it might be the inverter, it is supposed to light up and it didnt
